Just made a plate of stovies,or to you english peeps corned beef hash,cooked it,had to take a portion from the non stick pan and put it in a frying pan till was well burned yum yum!!!!

i love food "well done" lol cant eat toast unless its nearly black and bacon has to be really really crispy :-)

i know ethel everyone has a different recipe,some have leftover roast,others sausages,but for me its corned beef!!!
Love it! got used to it after 30years, even Rea was a better cook!

my ex father in law grew up in edinburgh, and he used to have stovies, but it was just mash with black pepper on it... i was surprised when you said corned beef hash (mmmm) like bacon burned (mmmmmm again!!!)

I have to have meat well done, not outright burnt but very well done.

I can't eat things like sushi or rare meat.

jenna i fry up a onion using dripping,then cube corned beef cook out a bit,then add sliced floury type potatoes,lower heat and steam with lid on till soft,season to taste,loads of cracked black pepper,then take dollops and burn in frying pan,or others cook potatoes with onion, in water till soft,drain well keeping back some of the cooking water,add corn beef mix through adding water if needed till well mixed up,season serve with broon sass if liked bon appetite!!!

You have to excuse puddi she used to be a dinner lady (Dollops) Hardly Delia, But the recipe sounds great. long as theres no cat hairs in it!
