I would appreciate a wiring diagram for the above circuit. There is an existing pendant light in the middle of the room and I want to fit a junction box in its place so that I can then wire 5 low voltage lights each side of the ceiling. Each light will have its own transformer.

It should be simple but I just can't work it out!

Please make sure that the low voltage lights you are fitting either have a fire hood fitted or are fire rated otherwise your house insurance might not cover you in the event of a fire.....
also...........when selecting the cable to use.......remember that low voltage lamps draw a bigger current than regular 230v lamps............a 40w lamp will draw nearly 3 and a half amps.........
