I have some slow moving bugs in my house that are a bit fury and the size and shape of a ladybird but brown with lines on their back similar to a woodlice and have no wings. Any ideas what these are and any remedies apart from removing each one i see as and when?

sounds a bit like the larva of the carpet beetle, otherwise known as woolly bears. They attack natural fibre carpets and in their own way are as damaging as moth grubs.Get some powdered insecticide. One possible source might be http://www.pestcontroldirect.co.uk ,but a good harware shop is another option
