What are these called or used for? -

* Sewing Needle (with eye) with bent end possibly for sewing hessian bags? In short and long.

* Ok this is difficult to describe! Long and FLAT with peculiar criss-crossing curved bit near the end that has (the curved section) two outer strands curving upwards and the middle strand curving the opposite way.

Thanks. Please feel free to ask any other questions.

try googling & see if you can find an image of it.
It sounds like you have got some sail needles, rarely seen these days of synthetic sail cloth. These were used in the days when sails were made of heavy canvas.
