how much would it cost to run a slow cooker 174 - 207 watt slow cooker for 1 hour. I have just bought one to compare the cost with using the gas oven.

A slow cooker costs on average one unit of electricity for 8 hours use. Look at your bill to see how much you are charged per unit.

A quick comparison - a 100 watt standard light bulb costs one unit for 10 hours use.

Much much cheaper than a gas oven
