I have a yukka which is twenty years old and getting straggly. Does anyone know how I can get a new plant from the old one?

If it has a trunk just saw it off and leave it. New plantlets will appear in the spring growing out of the trunk. Or you could slice some babies off the trunk (they don't need roots) and just plant them. I sawed my old yucca down last year and have many new ones now.
Hi Snikpoh, You could also scatter the seeds where you want them to grow. Newt
