sweet corn problem

Hi All
I have sweet corn in my garden, the plants are about 4" high and this morning 3 of the plants have shredded leaves

It looks as thougn a comb has been run through them
I have looked at "pests" on line but all seem to be in USA as you would expect
any help would be appreciated
