I have just placed an order for a new 13 amp electric aga with the aims programmer.
Is it good and easy to use, and what are the running costs?
Thanks

Thanks for the condescending unhelpfull answer!

I have the info from Aga, but am after some real life examples.
Anyone who owns a Toyota Prius will know that the manufacturer claims it will do 60mpg, but the reality is much nearer 45.

I've just been reaiding the forums re 13A electric Agas.

Weekly running costs 3 years ago - 15.

That seems hellishly expensive just to cook - and the price of electricity has rocketed since then.
Bloomstiles1, I'd agree with tonyted and my Prius does 52mpg:-))
From March 07 to April 08 I reckon the running costs of my 3 oven Aga without aims was approx 20 per week.

I should take issue with the ignorant comment regarding a lot of money for just cooking. My Aga heats my house, makes my toast, acts as a microwave, is my electric kettle, dries my washing and also irons some of it, cooks my food beautifully and is my slow cooker. Having the Aga on cuts my oil bills down and out of oil, gas and electric, although all have increased in price, electricity has gone up the least.
