following on from tuftys brilliant post last night, the kids today get playstations, nintendo's Wii's, what did you get in the good old days, mine was an apple an orange snakes and ladders, ludo, play post offices etc what can you recall?
Earliest recollection, a Sindy doll followed by a Tiny Tears doll. When I reached the age of a toyless Christmas, it was a herringbone maxi coat, midi skirt, black patent wet look boots, black choker, mood ring lol!! Still got a stocking though and a memory of one containing my first nail varnish, felt really grown up! Kids today can't possibly feel the magic of years ago??
tigger I begged for a Mr F for years, never got one, brother did! And he didn't even use it. He just refused to let me use it!
Can't remember earliest pressie or anything, but we had pillow cases, with a satsuma and a pound coin at the bottom! My best ever pressie was a "Stop me and buy one", a Play-Doh ice cream cart. Loved it!
Was Mr frostie the thingy that crushed ice cubesto make a drink? My mum would never let me have one but I got my kids one for xmas this year from Hawkins bazaar. It takes about 20 minutes to make a spoonfull of crushed ice, then when you add the vimto it all melts. Kids love it tho.
I did a really naughty thing once. I was about 6/7 and we went visiting somewhere. I disappeared upstairs and started messing about with several items on the dressing table in the hosts bedroom. When I came back downstairs my mum screamed at me and we had to leave very quickly. I think it must have been something to do with the lipstick and eyeshadow all over my face and the nail-varnish all over my fingers.
