Has any one 'added' a secondary roof hung inside the conservatory ? eg., A flat roof....? I'm thinking 25mm Polycarbonate which can be supplied by this company.

Never heard of it.
For what purpose - trying to keep the heat in?
You'll lose about another 10% in light transmitted through.
How are you going to stop the dust and dead flies collecting in the gap?
