When my neighbour has their washing maching on, the main water pipe into my house makes a water being ran noise. This noise it makes is louder when my neighbour has their water going than it is when mine is going. Also when they have their central heating on, we can hear the muffled buzz/hum of the boiler going as if its in our house, their boiler is not even on the shared wall. If I turn off the stop **** on the main water pipe while they have the washing machine going, the noise stops.
Any ideas? Is this normal?
Its driving me mad,

Do you think it is possible that they are connected to your water supply? Do you have a water meter ?if so check it when they are using water and you are not ,if it is turning then they could possibly be using your water.
Other than this I have no idea but there must be a resident plumber here on AB. Good luck with it .
