Hi,i go up my gramps grave from time to time and had been putting pansies and violas on there but now i want something that is pretty and comes back every year....maybe something exotic but doesnt grow into a massive bush?I want lots of pretty flowers and plants but am useless at knowing what is good for graves.I dont visit alot so need something that will be ok.please help,thanks Tess

Why don't you take a look at dicentra formosa luxuriant, which is a beautiful Dwarf Bleeding Heart. They are a lovely red flowering shurb that doesn't grow rapidly and needs little in the way of tending. The flowers come on early in the spring and remain for about 3 weeks or so. Here's a picture:

Hi princess, it's a nice thought to make your gramps' grave look nice but I'd check around first as some cemeteries are very strict as to what they allow in regards to "Permanent" plants etc on graves and I'd hate you to be upset if you went to visit one day and found your plants had been removed.
