What are the little green beetles, about 1/2 inch long, which are appearing in my garden and greenhouse? They make a whirring sound when flying.

Yes, these are the ones, but before converting them to "green shield stamps" I need to know are they good or bad?

Have now found out they are not particularly harmful to plants. Thanks for help.

Does anyone know what the place was called that you took your green shield stamps to, to exchange them for an item?
