Inert (noble) gases

Thank you
Noble gases. They are not all inert.
"Noble Gases".

"Inert Gases" is an outmoded term (because, as stated, except for He & Ne they're not inert). Also, "Inert Gases" nowadays is applied to gases that are inert, but may be elemental OR molecular.

"Rare Gases" is also an older term. Possibly fallen out of use upon discovery of how abundant e.g. Helium is in the stars.
