Displaying a fragile silk scarf

I have a 1960s Peter Max scarf which I would like to display rather than wear, as it's quite fragile and the picture lends itself to wall display. Does anyone have any ideas as how to display it...I don't want to use the usual plastic hangers that people use for fabric, as the silk is very fine and the plastic might tear it. Would it be possible to frame it, or would that involve glueing it and spoil it completely? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you

How about a hand made double glassed display cabinet??
crosso - A large clip frame, perspex at the front - with a hardboard back & held together with clips around the edge.
My friend has her far eastern Wedding gown ( a portion of it anyway ) displayed wedged between two sheets of glass. It looks really cool.
Hi crosso
Another suggestion to the good ones already posted.Sometimes you can find a picture already in a frame from somewhere like Wilko. Remove the picture and insert your scarf. With a frame around the edge it would look very attractive. Wilko in my area has several frame sizes and shapes. Often works out cheaper than just buying a frame.

Thanks all, for the suggestions...I'll have another look at the scarf to see what would be most suitable...the ideas are most appreciated as I really didn't want to use the plastic hangers (whatever they are called!) Best wishes, crosso
