whilst cooking last night,two sparks came out of the oven,and now it won't work,any ideas on what happened

sounds like your element has burnt out,quite easy to replace,take back off cooker,remove wires,unscrew 2 nuts remove and replace with new one,element cost,about �30 ish.if its not that then,i dont know,ours has gone a couple of times and have done it myself,engineer will charge about �80/100

Pull the fuse for it or throw the circuit breaker at the meter box first.
