Do you need any sort of permission to have these installed. i.e. Building Regs or Planning permission?

We live in 150year old house in conservation area but its not listed. Do you think its going to be possible and is anyone likely to object?

Are there any grants available?

Can anyone recommend a good website to find out more?

Most unlikley to need Building Regs. Will almost certainly need Planning Permission since you are in a Conservation Area. Ring your local Development Control dept at the council.
Depends on what the solar panels are to be used for as to whether or not you need BRA, If going to be used for Unvented Hot Water then yes BRA is required. Dont think you need BRA for any other use though.
