Anyone else suspect Tarby's concocted a reason to quit before he was chucked? And, with Spoony following Mica Paris, as Ali G might have said 'Is it cos they is black?'

As Ali G might also have said " I thought they was all good dancers"
If the brilliant and gorgeous Ray goes out next week then I might just agree with you. Up til then I'll just put it down to the fact that their fan following don't watch the show or can't be bothered to pick up the phone and vote.
Everbody knows it should have been her from Casualty, but Spoony is obviously not as well-known as her. If this continues, why bother with the Judges as nobody obviously takes any notice of them.!!
How many black people do you see in the finals of X factor?
How often do you see black people voted out early on Big Brother?
I never watch such programmes but Mrs Baldy does so i am exposed to them. From what i have seen talented black people do appear on x factor but never get through. On BB any 'person of colour' who isnt bland and inoffensive gets voted out pretty sharpish.
My missus reckons Spoony was no worse that anyone else and even she was moved to comment that it 'cos he is black'.

Things like this makes me think we have still got a long way to go in this country i'm afraid.

Yes, it's a great pity. Colin Jackson and Denise Lewis were hot favourites to win previous series of Strictly but didn't win. Very sad, particularly in this day and age. .
I agree with Mr Baldy. Colin Jackson was much better than Darren Gough (although he was good). Was sorry to see Spoony go on Saturday, I think it shocked the rest of them too. Too bad thatr some people just cannot judge the dance which it what it is supposed to be about.
When Jimmy Tarbuck appeared on the first show, our opinion was...poor guy. It was obvious he was not fit enough to cope with the dance routines and training to stand a chance in the programme. I think the trip to the Doctor/Hospital saved him from the struggle to prove himself in the much younger group of dancers and could possibly saved him from a serious health condition.
