whats the difference between 1/2 standard and standard when should they be planted

Half standard is about 2ft 6in & full standard about a foot taller - sorry I haven't gone metric in my garden!

Depends where you are but generally best planting time is mid Oct to late Nov but roses can be planted between Oct and march.
