Hi Chazza
I prefer liquid, powder sometimes leaves white marks. I'd love to be able to afford the liquid tabs, but they are so expensive, but they do help you to control how much you use, when I use liquid I tend to fill the drawer up!
Hi chazza,

I use the liquid tabs, as pitstopbunny says the dosage is just right! Always buy them when on special offer or from Wilkinson's who generally sell them slightly cheaper...
Powder residue left behind is the main result of over filling your machine ... not enough water to disolve the detergent as the excess clothing has taken the water that would be used to dissolve the powder ot tablets ... if you ever use a bio powder and you over fill then you can end up with white spots on your clothes as the bleach is drawn out and into the clothing ( which is damp not sodden as it would be with the right quantity of clothing in the machine) and then bleaches the clothing ... it also a result of using a cheap powder ...

Liqui tabs or bottled liquid dont contain bleach (used to keep whites white) ... your white clothing will not be as white as it could be I fear ... just put an older white garment next to a new one next time you buy one ...
I use ariel liquid, not in the liquid tabs as if I do a smaller wash I just put less liquid in. My whites are still lovely and white pingu, I use the ariel white not colour liquid for them, and only wash whites together, having seperate loads for off white/white with coloured bits on, dark and towels.
But if you did they would be even better ...
Let me tell you all a secret, i repair the washing machines that all you people are using these liquitabs in! i dont know any of you but here are my predictions, your soap drawer goes black, your door seal is black and often mouldy, u find gunk between the seal and tub and quite often when your washing machine door is open, u think, wot on earth is that smell!! these are all problems caused by nothing other than using liquids, as pingu said, they contain NO bleach!! use powder, liquids and liquitabs are killing washing machines!!!
