how do you prevent peas from having maggots in them when you pick them for cooking?

If your overly bothered,then you should spray them as they begin to flower. I've not bothered for a few years,this year I just had three peas out of a total of Lb15 with a maggot in.
Least,that's all I found :)

Sorry this is not a solution but I fell across this website by accident & am so glad I did. I have never laughed so much when reading response from rugeleyboy! Hilarious. I too never knew peas had maggots & I will not be able to eat them again either.
