I am intending building a water feature and intend not using a liner but tiles instead. Does anyone know of a waterproof additive that can be used in my render cement ? Maybe Builders mate can suggest !

I've never tiled a swimming pool. You have to use a specialist cement-based adhesive, as you probably know. There are specialist products for this purpose made by the 3 main UK tile adhesive manufacturers, who are BAL, Ardex and Weber-Howtex. Here is a link to one of the suitable Ardex products. Suggest you go talk to a specialist tiling distributor (not DIY sheds or Topps Tiles - they won't deal with it) and talk to them. You also need a specialist waterproof grout if the thing for a surface that is permanently immersed. BM

Take the /p suffix off the weblink to make it work. I've not found a sure way to stop the AB software adding this to a weblink

Thought you would come up withsomething buildersmate, mind you it will be no deeper than say 350mm, so not much weight or pressure. will look into your link etc. Cheers Hard@it
