If you cook frozen meat, can you re-freeze it once its cooked?

Yes I do this regularly. I make dishes like chilli con carne and chicken curry from frozen meat and freeze the leftovers and it is fine
As Chazza said, the likes of the chilli and curry are fine. I wouldn't refreeze roasted or fried meat though as freezing results in moisture loss and it ends up awfully dry.

I wouldnt personally do this, I have always understood that defrosted meat could not be re-frozen, look on the packet thats what it says, doesnt it ?


but if you have come to no harm and it doesnt worry you then continue.

You can refreeze meat once it`s been cooked & WELL chilled. My husbands a butcher. LOL
