I regularly get condensation on the bottom of the bedroom walls. An expert has said it is condensation and not damp. I have cleaned the walls and ran a de-humidifier for over a year now and the black mold still comes back. Anyone any knowledge or solution. The room is double glazed, one radiator, one air vent and is on an outside wall. Please help.

I don't have an answer, but we get the same thing on one wall which happens to be the wall the wardrobes are on. This year I have put a little humidifer in the wardrobe and so far I have not seen it. I am surprised the humidifier didn't help. I will keep an eye on your replies out of interest to see if anyone comes up with a solution. Good Luck!

have you checked the guttering or the roof flshing outside on the wall, some water might be getting in somewhere.
its most probably the coldest wall try cavity wall insulation it helped when we had the same problem .. and wipe the black mould off with a fungicide cleaner or it may grow back
if it is condensation the only cure is air circulation, leave a window slightly ajar or install some trickle vents in the windows of all rooms whereit is
