Bit of a strange question this one.

What do you call a house that was once a house but has now been made into a series of flats on seperate floors?

And where do you buy them?

I know.

Strange question.

flat conversions? What a strange question!! No idea where to buy them. Presumably you just look in estate agents or auctions if you were considering doing a house up yourself.

maisonette??

maisonette ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mz-nt, -s-)
n. Chiefly British
A small house.
An apartment occupying two or more floors of a larger building and often having its own entrance from outside.

Block of Flats!

Buy them anywhere!

Next question!

I think it's called a conversion. Do you want to buy the entire building? I assume the developer would sell the flats individually if it's a recent conversion. I'd check property auctions in your area if I were you.
Is this a riddle...............?
Question Author
no, it's not a riddle.
Then how about ............ "small apartment block".
