what size of lintel would you suggest for a window opening width of 1300mm - 1.3m ? perhaps a 1500 x 100 x 65 or does it need to be longer, and, or thicker. Concrete or cavity galvo lintel ? The opening does not support much weight as it is a kitchen extension.

For a 1300mm opening 1500 will give you 100mm either side which, for this small opening should be okay. However, anything wider than this I would go for a minimum of 150mm either side.

As to what type of lintel to use, the best thing to do is to go into your local builders' merchants, tell them exactly what it's for and they will show you a catalogue and help you choose. There are so many different types for different applications, but before you go make sure you measure the thickness of the wall as newer properties now have wider cavities.
