I have 2 really lovely white ceramic serving dishes that have been used in the oven. The outside has a ribbed effect & has grease etc stuck on to it in the grooves. How can I left the grease off easily - scourers don't seem to work very well!

Try dissolving biological washing powder, the one for clothes, in hot water and leave your dishes to soak, this is suppose to work
Use good washing-up liquid - ie Fairy and let them soak for a while.
buy some 'Astonish' which is a paste and is available from Wilkinsons & other shops - Morrison's also sell it. Its brilliant for getting the bits off ceramic dishes & also good for all manner of cleaning jobs around the home

I didn't have any biologoical washing powder but used one suitable for colours instead - thought I'd improvise! That, along with a little elbow grease, & they have cleaned up a treat!
