Well done, just relax and enjoy.
Do you toddle along on your own or do they have specially trained nuns to guide you?

I hope that your feet are still injury free.

How long have you had this dream?

Keep in touch - if you can

x

Good for you, Sandy - enjoy every moment :-)
These days it takes me nearly that long to cross the road!

Wolf, funny you should mention nuns. a South Korean nun on the same flight from Dublin asked if I knew the way to the 'starting point'. I did and another two older Irishmen tagged along. So I started my Camino with a triple good turn.
Thank you all for the good wishes.
Well done, Sandy, is it downhill now?
Oh well done Sandy, I so hope you achieve your goal in doing your own wee journey. Be safe and keep well. Anne .
Well done Sandy....my admiration knows no bounds !
Well done sandy Our very own AB Pilgrim. I do hope you are enjoying the experience and keeping a log of your journey.
Well done Sandy, your dream will happen.
Well done! No blisters then?

Psybbo, I wish it was. The start is very steep but there are lots of hills yet to come. I lied About the 8 hours.it was nearer 9. Still, the only one hour worse than my best time some years ago and a whopping 5 hours better than the time I walked with a bad back.
Could you give us a daily update please , Sandy

Tilly2, not a sign. First indication of one I'll put loads of Vaseline on the feet.
I managed to avoid the two pious Irishmen and the Korean nun during the day. They'll all be n this small town somewhere. I'd guess they'd be at evening Mass later but as I'm giving that a miss it's unlikely we'll meet again.
Question Author
I will. Hope it doesn't bore everybody and it would serve as a reminder for me, too.
You must look after your feet, Sandy.

Put them up when you get to the pub.
Very best wishes on your trek, Sandy!

Evening meal at 7.30 with free wine. W ould it be considered greedy to play Oliver and ask for more when the first bottles empty?
Question Author
Thank you all for the good wishes. They're really appreciated.
You are not going to mass - is that a good thing.

An atheist -

my mother got chucked out of the Catholic church for marrying my protestant father. She was a woman not known for her forgiving nature.
