Just been reading through Elinas post below.
Just got me wondering, what is it with hairy armpits?
Men (as a whole) find hairy armpits on a woman a complete turn off (at least in the western world as far as I can ascertain) and women seem to find hairy armpits on a man a sign of masculinity (never known a woman who raves about clean, underarm shaven men).
Ive never had a girlfriend with hairy armpits but think it would be a no no if I did.
Would you ladies equally find it a no no if you had a guy who shaved his pits?
Just as a side note, Ive always wanted to shave every bit of my body (maybe with the exception of my eyebrows...dont want to look like a ghost) just as an experiment to see what it feels like. I hate body hair, I shave my head and face and keep 'trimmed up' elswhere. Just never got around to doing a full body shave (dont fancy the itching afterwards)
//If a man went as far as shaving his chest, that would be a no for me. Why would a man want to do that?//
I shave my chest occasionaly. As has been pointed out, Ive got to much time on my hands....that and the fact that im not very hairy chested and the few strand ive got look like they ought to be tied together before they disapear again anyway.
If I was very hirsuit I might accept it but I seem to be just a few hairs here and a few hairs there. Best smooth than bitty...
Nothing wrong with hairy armpits on a woman. Think we only shaved through masculine pressure. I might shave if I had a dress that hairs sticking over the cloth would spoil, otherwise 'no'. I used to conform when younger, then I grew up! Just keep clean is the word - have you ever nicked your armpit with a razor? Not good.
Happily, when living in France I discovered that women do not, in general, shave their armpits. Yippee!
I'd be cautious of a man who shaved anything but his chin!
I wouldn't find it weird or unattractive for a man to shave his underarms at all.
I certainly wouldn't ever grow my armpit hair - much better, & fresher without.
Nailit - most men are rather 'bitty' about chest hair - OH is. It doesn't matter, really, it doesn't. What does matter is the insecurity displayed by men trying to be fashionably acceptable. Relax with your body-hair! :)

Nowt do with fashion, Just find body hair unattractive...on myself and partners.
Guess thats just me though.
