Do any of you lovely, squeaky clean ABers handwash anything?  When I tell people that I do they look at me as though I'm a dinosaur!

I like a bit of handwashing!! Very relaxing.Tights and bras and things like that.Otherwise I bung everything in the machine and I haven't taken anything to the dry cleaners for ages now.We don't have to wear suits and stuff for work anymore. We have become slobs since retirement!!!

i do i hand wash my dresses which i wear when i go out..i use soap flakes...if i hand wash them they dont need ironing as i am useless at wringing out..so they just drip dry..i had to hand wash for 3 days the other week when thewasher broke down...buckets full of towels and tea towels soaking overnight...it was not fun they took all day to drip dry..

Forgot to say thugosaurus stop showing off with your cashmere! ;-)
mullein -have sent a post to your old 'green again' thread.

See you all down the river then!
(probably going to get my scaly legs slapped for being chatty in H&G but I really was curious about this & didn't want to get washed away in CB by a sea of alchohol!)

i have a handfwash facility on my washing machine, so i just use that!
spudqueenosaurus here, I still handwash, not everything obviously, but the things that need handwashing!

boobesque that's cheating! ....roar....

welcome to the laundry cave spudqueenosaurus!

I handwash but not as much as I used to.  Mainly woollen jumpers (many of mine are not superwool and are not supposed to be washed in the handwash cycle in the machine).  Clothes with colours that may run. Anything delicate (beading, silk, not that I have many of those).

My aunt asked me if I knew what handwashing was, I didn't dignify her question with an answer.......
I do however handwash a few things that are really dry clean only but I'm too tight to pay to get them dry cleaned.

oh yeah, did you know you're actually supposed to handwash all your bras? only if you're a lady of course......otherwise they get ruined in the washing machine or something

Yes funkychicken - I always handwash my undies.  Being a dinosaur they're very big undies of course.

I handwash bras and anything else that bits may fall off in the machine, and like funkychicken, most of my dry clean only stuff.

I have ruined so many bras and delicate tops in the machine that I always handwash these now. It's the only solution.  :o(

Yes often handwash the odd shirt,  underwear and all those things which the label says Dryclean Only, (which I've usually found to be a lot of nonsense).  Then I drip dry to save ironing. Am sure it's cheaper than using the washing machne.

Dynasaur perhaps, but don't want to become so dependent on modern technology that I can't function if there's a power cut or something !!
