Oh dear, what can you do when a double shower door doesn't fit? Plumber is talking about grinding down the lip on screen surround i.e. not fitted piece of metal on wall but looking at 1.5 - 2cms. The doors with surround measure 115cm and the fit is exactly 115cms.

i.e. wants to grind down the frame but he thinks it won't work.
can you not send it back if its new rather than bodge it?
Professionals should get the right kit. I'd be unimpressed with one who wished to do something that dramatic to a new door that they paid for with my money. Unless they took full responsibility for replacement if it fails within the warranty period. And possibly not even then. Were it your own fault then flexible solutions are part of the territory. Try to get them returned and replaced with the right size.
I take it, it was so obvious they were not able to do the grinding and not tell you then.

Just re-reading it they come in standard sizes one would have thought 1150mm was correct. If it does need grinding surely a mm or so would be enough ?
Can't the doorframe be let into the wall on one side or both?

That would be my first thought.
