Can anyone please advise me or does anyone know of a site I can go on to find out where I stand here?

My neighbour used to have a chimney flue for his oil fired boiler, but he has changed it for a balanced flue. The wall he has installed it on is also my boundary wall and it is where I park my car. I'm worried that it might damage my paintwork as the flue is about 6 inches from my car and I can't move my car any further over as there is another building there.

Any suggestions very gratefully received.

I'm not sure about legal stuff but my parents fight to park under their flue during the winter, the car never needs defrosting. It doesn't appear to have damaged their paintwork at all.

Thanks very much for your input. I've been in touch with OFTEC today and they told me no way should the flue have been allowed to be sited where it is, and that apart from it being on my property, the flue could create a sulphuric acid spat if it is ever faulty, which they said would do absolutely no good to my car. They said I should check that planning permission was given for the flue (and that if it was, how) and also let environmental health know. They were very, very helpful. I'm going to try and resolve matters amicably first, but at least I know I have somewhere I can go now if my neighbour tells me to buzz off.
