Has anyone had a visit from someone at the LR before (am currently trying to obtain full or possessory title to my garden which hasn't been registered)? Just wondered exactly what they do!

I've had this a couple of times, Buffy, buying unregistered ground and establishing Possessory Title.

I guess they sent someone out for a quick nose, but I wasn't told.
Registration went through with no trouble though.

Thanks Builder! We've been told to make sure our garden looks as secure as possible, ie putting a lock on the gate. This is all fine, we'll do that. But just wondered how fussy they are in other ways ... the front bit of the fence isn't massively high, say about mid thigh length, and don't want them thinking oh well someone could just hop over there and turn down the application. Are they like that? Too much worrying for nothing I'm hoping haha!
Don't worry unnecessarily, Buffy. The LR are really only interested in getting it right, so they can file it away neatly. It's other people objecting, counterclaiming, or just coming out of the woodwork that can scupper the claim.
They're interested only in the legalities. I once claimed Possessory Title to a layby outside my house where anyone could drive onto and park.

It's how good your claim is that counts.
