Dishwasher Repairs

My Bosch dishwasher has decided to stop filling with water.

I've checked all the pipes and everything appears to be in order.

My next step seems to be calling in a repairman. I've received one quote of £60 + parts and another of £135 all in.

I have no idea what is a reasonable charge in the South East, any advice?

Just a thought:
Have you had the free repair (that was necessary to prevent a fire hazard on many Bosch dishwashers in the UK)? If not, you might be able to get your present problem added on, so that you'd pay less (or even get it for free!):

Unfortunately my machine is only 3-4yrs old and out of guarantee so I need to foot the bill.

I have seen mention on the web of manually filling, I might try that for the load that is in at the moment, just need to determine how much water to add!

It may be the solenoid valve on the water intake. A replacement shouldn't cost more than £25.
If it is the solenoid valve it shouldn't take more than 20 mins to replace.
