I use a tumble dryer with a hose extension, which has to be fed through window, but as it's getting colder...so I've heard that there is a box type thingy that you can put at front of dryer and it has a smaller hose. What is the name of this contraption please, so I know what I'm asking for when I buy one. Ta Muchly.

Much better way if you've got a handy DIYer on tap is to have the tumbledryer vented through the wall.
The vent is what I have. Works fine, if you can put one in.

Many Thanks Alice and OG, I'll have a try at the kit.
you can buy them on ebay for £6.50
not very good at doing its job by all accounts look at the Amazon link and read the review of it on there

none of them work very well, in my opinion. That's why I suggested fitting a wall vent.
Question Author
Many Thanks All, but as I can't have a vent, I'll have to give one of the amazon items a try; it's either that or freeze with the window open!...brrrrr.
