We are refurbishing a kitchen and need to buy a gas cooktop, a wall oven and a range hood that comes from the ceiling.

What kinds of things should I consider in the decision?

Well if I was planning a kitchen this is what would be important to me....If you have room for a double oven they are worth their weight in gold. Fan assist and self cleaning are also really good, and a separate grill as well if at all possible. Make sure the range hood is high enough for you not to bang your head and get one with a good light in it. For the gas hob, a variety of ring sizes is good and one with a cover is best. Make sure the hood is at least the same size as the hob, if not bigger.
