I have an Insinkerator waste disposal unit that trips out the main panel when switched on. It is not blocked and both the upper (cutting ring) and the lower ring, which has an Alen Key rotation test hole, are free. The wiring has also been checked. I suspect the motor is dead, in which case replacement is the answer! Do you have any other ideas please?
