shower curtain rail

Just had the bathroom decorated, and want to buy a ne w shower curtain rail, but can't take down the old one. I thought it would spring out of the circular holder on on e side, but it won't budge. How did the previous occupants put it up, and what can I do to replace it?

Can you see any screws at the top or bottom on the circular holder, could be on the top out of sight.

No, can't see any screws, but my son has just attempted to take it down, and it started to give way. Unfortunately, some of the newly painted plaster came away with it. It looks like a touch up job already! Many thanks.

Hi, does anyone know where I could buy am "L" shaped shower curtain rail that doesn't need any fittings, like the straight ones that just extend to stay in place but L shaped? Thanks!

putting up a shower curtain rail

Does anyone know how to put the one that relies solely on pressure to keep it up, up? I spent about 30 mins trying to do it today, following the really poor instructions to a t but i couldn't;t do it....

Telescopic/spring loaded shower curtain rails

Are they any good? Our bathroom is very small and the rail would need to be about 180 cm long. I'd appreciate any views on them. Thanks. Floss
