This may seem strange for some but I have an extreem fear of wasps but love the sun. Every summer everyone is looking forward to the sun shinning in the sky but i dread it, my windows are fitted with special screens because of the wasps. I have a large balcony on the back of the house which all my friends are envious of as it is a sun trap but i never use it. This is my question....... I have been giving it some thought, can you tan through something like muslin cloth or like mosquito nets. Im going to ask Mr Rosie if he could make like a tent so i can sit out and the wasps cant get to me. I have the Waspinators ( it's supposed to act like a wasps nest so they dont come near it) but i have not much faith in it as iv seen them hovering around it. I know that this fear may seem irrational to some but i would swap anyone with a fear for this of mine.

Can't see why not, although it would take longer as fewer rays are getting through to you.

Have you always been afraid? Stung in the past?

Absolutely terrified. I was once stung when i was a child but my fear gets worse as i get older, if i see a dead wasp was on the path i go sweaty and clammy. Even the name sets me off with dread.

Have you sought help for overcoming this phobia?

My son has this phopia - spheksophobia. He becomes hysterical if he hears of sees one . He is 18 now and just as bad. When he was younger days out were a nightmare. We couldnt have picnics, go to the park..... even sitting in our own garden would freak him out so I do sympathise.

Get him a spray which wii keep wasps away from him.
