Putting membrane and gravel down

Hi. We have this really awkward corner of the garden that's currently covered in grass. I want to put down some membrane and cover it with gravel but one of the walls involved is next doors and I was wondering if it would affect them in any way (damp-proofing etc.) even though the level would pretty much stay the same. We don't talk to them (and vice versa) so I don't want to aggravate them. Thank you.

Im not sure how it would affect them with regards to damp proofing.

Personally I don't see any problems at all!
Ratperson's right, Flossy. Landscaping fabric allows water to pass through it. It just doesn't let weeds grow through.

Thank you both, I just wanted to make sure. That's my weekend sorted then :)
Wish you could come and take the load of gravel I need to get rid of. If your neighbours complain tell them it was gravel or a big tree with roots that would go under their foundations. Now that is a pain.
Keep the level the same and it will be fine
