I've been in this house almost 11 years. In that time I've never cleaned the oven or any of the windows.

you have to clean ovens???
No where near often enough. I don't think I have cleaned my current one since I've had it and I'm too ashamed to admit how long I have had it ;-)
When ever Trish tells me too, It's the one job she really hates in the kitchen so she delegates it to me.
the top of it - when tis dirty
The inside? Hmmm cant recall
Have you been here Fluffy? behind my back ?...was only thinking today ....must get that done...if my mum comes round I'm in for it !!!
hangs head in shame.....cannot remember the last time....
Quite often, it's the self cleaning type which heats up to 375 degrees on the self clean setting. This turns the gunge into a fine ash which is easily wiped off.
It's so cold in my kitchen at the moment that I might do it now as it throws out a lot of heat :-)

The glass on the inside of the door gets taken out and washed weekly, the tops daily and errrrr the inside.....never.
oh, what a dirty bunch you are ! :)
hardly ever. Dont use my oven much but I will clean it when it needs to be done
Sandy...no one can see into your kitchen then ! you are ok..

Thank God I am not in the minority......so glad we all show similar symptoms here...unless yours self-cleans.
Thank you all........I will continue to look at the crusry bottom, and smile!!
Enjoy the weekend x
I do mine when I think it looks manky. Last did it just before Christmas.

I once moved in with a chap and his kitchen was an absolute disgrace. I scrubbed it from top to bottom before I started on the oven. Having asked him when he last cleaned the oven and received the response "do ovens need cleaning?", I opened it to find the cremated remains of something that was once alive. This was 9 April. I asked him "when did you last use your oven?" "Christmas" was the response. That minging thing had been in there for FOUR MONTHS!
My oven is VERY old (too embarrassed to say how old) and I've never cleaned it inside, on top yes, but never inside. O God I think I'm ashamed !!!
"Crusty Bottoms" - now there's a thought to take into the weekend ...
never ....the oh does it !
I think cleaning the oven is probably one of the most hated jobs in the home.
I bought some revive power paste a while ago which is good for a lot of jobs around the home and it brought my oven up a treat.
I've recently seen on t.v there's something on the market where you pop you oven shelves in a bag and leave to work, then use the product on the inside of your oven as well, not sure of the make.
I swear by hob brite on the top and I now put a reusable oven liner on the bottom, also to keep my glass door clean inside I put a sheet of foil this works great when using the grill inside my oven, def a handy hint off a friend
