My Nikon 3200 is eating batteries like nobody's business so I'm thinking of investing in some rechargeable ones.  I'm finding it very confusing as I have come across rechargeable batteries and a mains adapter kit too. Can anyone suggest which is the better buy and what I should be investing in?

Go for NiMH batteries - the higher the rating on them, the longer they last, but the more expensive they will be. 1500mAh are the minimum I would go for (assuming you are using AA size), but 1800 or 2300 would be better

I have the exact same camera, and had the same problem. Not sure if i am recommending the same battery as already mentioned, but i now use a lithium battery. My fab boyfriend bought me some which look like two A4 batteries joined together. They are:
Panasonic
CR-V3
3V Lithium
I have only used one so far for many many photos. I know these are more expensive, but more than make up for it, and i know he bought them very cheaply from an internet site. Would highly recommend!

Thank you for all your advice, will definitely seek out the options mentioned.  Cassimer - can you recall the site your boyfriend used or is it a closely guarded secret?
Not a secret, just didnt know! Just rang him to ask and apparently he bought them at :
www.7dayshop.com
It looks like 2 for 7.59, but trust me they are worth it!
