Re - rendering a house

Can anyone give me a basic idea how much a 3 bed semi would cost to be re-renderd. At the moment mine is a terracota colour and I would like to go to a white colour but it does need all re-rendering

You really do need on-site advice here Ric. A lot will depend on how long it takes to remove the old render. It might be old lime render (easy to remove) or newer sand & cement (harder and time consuming).

What's the age of the house, and why do you think it needs re-doing?
Doesn't it just go over the top of the old ?

I was interested in this thread as I have a place that could really do with tarting up like that. But it also has cracks either side of the bay at the upstairs so I dread considering how much that'd take to do on top.
OG .......... yes it certainly can, as long as the original is still sound. There'd be a certain amount of preparation, but not a big job. Often, you find that it's the second coat that hasn't "keyed" to the first. That failed coat would be removed, and two fresh coats applied.
If you tried to do this with old lime render, there's a strong chance of it all ending up on the ground as the new render brings the old down with it :o(
Cheers.
