We have an en-suite with a shower.Naturally the shower is used every day sometimes two or three times.Every time we use the shower we make sure the window is open but we are still getting a build-up of unsightly black mould on the ceiling - not near the shower but by the window. Is there anything we can do to stop this please ?

Yes we do leave the window open, and for quite a while afterwards.
Thank you for the painting tip - we will give it a go.
Hi hardy, I would wash it down with Dettox mould and mildew remover first to get rid of it and often by using that or something similar it will go and look quite good. Then I would do as Zacsmaster has said and use an antifungicidal paint. I found that the DIY stores near me didn't sell it but the local paint store did and it has worked a treat. Haven't had mould on the ceiling since and that is quite a while ago.

Brilliant - many thanks
Hi hardy, the paint should make a big difference, but if you do still have problems after that, I would suggest putting in a humidity controlled fan, this would come on and go off as and when the humidity rises and falls, I have installed hundreds of them and they really are brilliant, good luck, Ray

Hi zacs hope you are keeping well. :-)
