I have a Potterton combi boiler (Lynx 2). Recently it has started making a huming noise when the heating is switched on. It starts after about 5 minutes of operation and gets louder and louder. It doesn't do it when heating the hot water. Has anyone any ideas what this could be.

Bleed your rads and re-pressurise the system. If that does not work, it's the circulation pump.
