Where can i find informatiom about the deal where solar panels are fitted to your house and un-used units are bought back by the Electricity company.

I had a leaflet come with my electricity bill. Trying googling your electricity provider and see if they mention it.
Photovoltaic cells are expensive - here's an example

2.8 Kw 16 grand plus vat

that means that roughly speaking if you were generating at full capacity 12 hours a day and selling it all back at 40p a unit you'd pay it off in about 10 years - not accounting for compound interest
