busy lizzies and petunia marks

My neighbour got some busy lizzies and petunias in a ready done hanging basket from the garden centre a coule of weeks ago. Now alot of the petals on both plants have started to go brown and die. Neither of us know much about gardening. I know some of the petunia flowers die off and others flower in there place, but this seems to be happening to every flower. Any suggestons gratefully received

If you deadhead the plant as the flowers dye off it will flower more. They havent been over watered have they.? Other than that I would mention it to the garden center she bought them from.

Hanging baskets need feeding regularly and watered twice a day in hot weather.
