Wisteria

Any wisteria experts out there? I have one, approx. 8 years old which is a prolific grower, and has just started producing flower racemes. However, the flower buds seem to dry up and fall from the stem before they fully develop and open up. Anyone have any suggestions as to why this happens? There doesn`t seem to be any visible reason for it.
