I live in Essex where can I buy this compost pls ? or something similar ? help appreciated, I have bought some hanging baskets at the Ideal Home Exhb and they recommend it.

You don't have to use "special" compost for your hanging baskets. You will find that a2:1 blend of soiless and a soil based comp. will give both a weight benefit and an ability to retain the water(the soil).Remember that the effective way to water HBs is to soak them.

you can buy westlands moisture control compost from Homebase. I have also seen it in Dobbies. It is the same as you are describing and has a water retaining granule in it.

many tks to both, yes it does have awater retaining granule, I know so little about gardening but I do try.
