I had the same problem last year with my Acer and was advised by the nursery were I bought it that they prefer semi-shade conditions and not to put it in strong sunshine or windy spots. This can strip moisture from the leaves faster than the root can replace it. When watering don't water from above the plant but at soil level.Never let the compost dry out completely. Lastly to keep the pot off the ground ( I have put mine on small ornamental blocks) I hope this helps knowlittle as they are such beautiful plants.
